Two 8th grade girls were walking home from school yesterday and got hit by a car (they were on the sidewalk!). One (who was my student last year) has since died from her injuries. The other is in critical condition.
Amid all the coverage of the Marathon Bomber, this story has been swept to the side and it frustrates me that there is so little coverage about these two good kids, one still fighting for her life.
Please consider adding these girls and their families to your list of prayers.

That Is terrrible. Unfortunately, I've lost a student before and it's very difficult.
I live in Texas and the town of West has been in my prayers too.
