Early morning sleep

Do your LOs do long stretches of sleep only in the beginning of the night like mine? He wakes to eat but it seems like he can't settle back down for longer than an hour or so after the first waking. If so, do you do anything different that seems to work?

Yes!! It's so frustrating!!! I feel like I'm most alert at like 5am because that's when I've had the longest stretch of sleep and at 6 or 7 or 9 when she's up again I'm a basket case because I'm only sleeping for 45 minutes stretches after that!

Yup. We get a four or five hour stretch to start, but DD never makes it more than three hours for any subsequent stretch of sleep. She does go back to sleep very easily, just not for as long.

DS always wakes up at 6 am for a feeding and by the time we are done, the sun is up and it is getting increasingly harder to get him back down. I actually slept with him on the couch this morning (which I haven't done in weeks) in order to keep him sle

And he goes to bed so early that on a good night the first wake up is midnight. From then on, it is brutal!

I get seven or eight hours in the first stretch and three or four hours after that, but then she is up for the day.

DS is in bed at 9 pm, up at 3 am for feeding and sleeps until 8 to 9 am. At his checkup on Friday the pedi said it is very rare for young babies to have two long stretches, what your LO is doing sounds like the normal thing. However, we have a blackout cu
