NBR: Good pet food for sensitive stomachs?

For mobile bumpies: NBR: Good pet food for sensitive stomachs?

So I have 2 cats, 11 and 4. The older one has always had a bit of a sensitive stomach but he's also a very picky eater so once I found a food that he would eat I stuck with it. He ate it for years and would occasionally puke after eating. A couple of months ago I noticed that it was happening more & more often so I tried the easy to digest version of the same brand he was eating. For about a month & a half he was fine, no more puke, but a little over a week ago he starting doing it again. I spoke to our vet about it and he recommended trying a different brand (they've been eating the same brand for years and he said that the cat may have built up a tolerance to it) so we did. When we changed their food it was gradually over several days mixing the old & new since I know a sudden change isn't good for them. But now it seems worse!! Not only is the older cat puking, but the 4 year old just did too!

Are there any other pet parents out there with sensitive stomach pets that can recommend a good food? Going to the pet store is overwhelming since there are about 50 different brands and they all claim to be the best. I'm going to do some research online and call our vet too but just thought I'd get some input from you ladies.

TIA!!!!

  • I know it's not the *best* food out there, but I started giving my cat purina pro choice when she turned 6. She took to it very well, and she has more energy, and her eye infections have stopped becoming so frequent. We liked it so much for our cat, that

  • What's the brand your cats have been on and did well on until recently? What's the brand your vet recommended?

Science diet a/d is the classic sensitive stomach food, but it's pretty bland so your cats may not like it, and it's also prescription

  • One of my cats is "bumelic"; except on Innova. It's the only food she can keep down. I have all the cats and the dog on Innova, and they all are a good weight and have healthy shiny coats.

  • We have the same problem with our two cats. Not only do they have sensitive stomachs, but it seemed as though when they could actually see each other eating, they would eat faster and end up throwing up. We have them on Nutro Natural Choice and moved thei
