Anyone nap while their kids are napping?

I always take a nap while dd takes one. Just wondering if anyone else does? I actually look forward to it!

Re: Anyone nap while their kids are napping?

  • I did when it was just DD1 and I.  It got too crazy trying to coordinate naps once DD2 came along and DD1 quit napping very shortly after that.  Now no one naps Sad

  • Yes! Both of my kids nap at the same time!  I rest or watch Real Housewives of Whatever is On :-)

  • I love Sundays because 9 times out of 10 I am napping right along with the kiddos!

  • As I lay with her to get her to sleep, I generally stay in and nap with her when she does.  About half the time I wake up early (after 45 minutes) and get up.  But I love napping with her and sometimes wish that the babysitter came at a differen

  • My DH almost always naps with DS. I almost never do, unless i accidentally fall asleep. I still look forward to his naps though because it gives me uninterrupted time to pay bills or watch something other than Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

  • Never.  Not because I don't want to.  DD rarely naps anymore and if she does it's usually not when DS is napping.  Some days I would LOVE a nap!!!

  • YES!!  My son has decided that he wants to wake up every two hours now like a newborn, so I don't get much sleep at night.  Nap time is three hours of uninterrupted bliss.

  • No, but I'm not a napper.  I usually use the time to do some housework, or check my email.  If I'm REALLY tired, I might nap.

  • I used to, but now that she is in a toddler bed and can open the door, no one gets any good daytime rest.  The only benefit to it is early bedtime.  :)
  • Yes for sure!  I take a minimum of an hour to two hour nap every weekend, during the week I'm at work so I'm unable to take a two hour nap, but I definitely would every day if I could.  My son naps for 3 hours normally so I have time to relax an

  • I wish I could do this on weekends, but I've never been one to nap.  I work full-time, so it's just not something that is part of my world.

  • Only when I'm sick or really tired. I'm not normally a napper, though.

I definitely have some down time. He usually naps for two hours so I spend an hour or so reading, watching TV, and/or bumping. Then another hour doing laundry, straighte

  • During the week, no. I use nap time to eat lunch, catch up on TV, do housework, make phone calls, etc. On Sundays I often put on a movie while they nap and it's 50/50 whether I'll stay awake or fall asleep. Sadly, today when I really was looking forward t

  • I always did before my second LO was born...always! I looooove naps.

I tried to keep it going when DD was born, but it just never worked out and always ended in frustration, so now I don't even try. I miss it bigtime, but hey, my house is a l

  • Ds doesn't nap at home anymore, but if dh is home over the weekend, then I get to nap when dd does.  I love napping, so I'll take up any opportunity, even if I'm not that tired.

  • Sometimes, especially during the 1st tri of this pg.  Luckily both kids still nap at the saem time so usually I do some housework, dinner prep or watch a show.

  • Saturday and Sunday naps are the highlight of my week! I am at work during the week - they are not big fans of me napping.

  • Oh yeah, you bet I do.  I am exhausted and need the rest myself, so I take advantage of nap time.
  • Sometimes.  Other times I'm not really tired so try to get other stuff done.
  • What's a nap?

  • Yes I do or I try to. Some days I lay down for 30 or 40 minutes and then I get up to do some chores but that 30 or 40 minutes really helps. Last week though I napped for their whole nap because I was so tired. But I do try to get some quiet time when they
  • I work full time, so those precious 1-2 hours on the weekends are critical for housework, projects, or shopping.

    Plus, I'm a terrible napper.
