Lotion for your newborn/infant

What moisturizer do you use for your LOs?  Coconut oil dries our skin out.  I'm looking for something for my newborn.  He has dry skin on his hands and feet that I'd like to take care of.

Re: Lotion for your newborn/infant

  • I really like Burt's bees lotion or their salve. I've never used either excessively, but they seem to work great! I especially love the salve if my los bum is a bit dry it instantly helps after one use!

  • We also used the Burt's Bees baby bee massage oil and it worked very well.
  • I hear great things about EMAB... But that dry skin will go away in a few weeks without any interference if you don't find what you're looking for.

  • We used organic olive oil or grape seed oil when our LO was a newborn. He had try hands and feet as well. Now we use a calendula salve, I made it but the ingredients are easy to source and you can find a recipe online.

  • The Honest Company....body oil and/or lotion.  I use them for myself too.  I mix them together in winter, but now that it's warming up I'm cutting out the oil.

  • My son has extremely dry skin but since we started using babyganics you would never know
  • Earth Mama Angel Baby has worked well for us. I actually like their normal lotion better than the diaper balm.

I make mine but you could easily make a massage oil.  mix jojoba sunflowe oil in a 4oz half half and use.
