Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Naps disappearing...

I have a 4.5 month old (breast fed) who was a fairly predictable napper up until a few weeks ago.  Now they are just cat naps and I do have to nurse her until she falls asleep.  I am just starting to feel stuck.   I feel like I cannot go anywhere because I do not know when she will sleep (does not sleep in stroller because she cannot nurse and does not like pacifiers) and she gets really fussy when she is ready to go down.  I would like to take her to story times and the park now that it is getting warmer, but I feel like the sleep/nursing thing is holding us back. We have a trip planned next month that I am dreading now...I get so jealous of those babies I see sleeping in their strollers while mom enjoys lunch in an actual restaurant.

Any suggestions? Will she adapt more once we introduce solids? Can I wean her from the breast a little? Please do not suggest wearing her all day, I am 5'2" and 40 yrs old and she is getting quite heavy for my old back.
