Am I evil??

So, I've been feeling a bit resentful lately because DH has been voluntarily gone ALL THE FREAKIN TIME over the past month, leaving me to struggle with the twins all by myself day and night. I am stressed, sleep deprived, and daily end up dealing with some kind of poop or spitup related mess. He always asks me why I seem so tired and stressed, and makes comments about why I don't get more done during the day grrrrr!.

Anyway, last night he got home late again and brought a friend to spend the night so they could stay up drinking, blaring the stereo and playing XBox. He asked if he and his friend could feed the babies, as he wanted to show them off to his friend who hasn't seen them yet.

So as they were both feeding the babies, I was laid back on the couch enjoying the rare break when all of a sudden I hear, in stereo, "gurgle, gurgle, blehhhhh!" The twins each spit up on the guys at the EXACT same instant. Their entire bottles! As I looked at each of them, I see two 35 yearold men looking like deer in headlights, each totally covered in a mixture of regurgitated breast milk and formula. All I could do was laugh and say "That was effing IMPRESSIVE!"

Is it evil of me to have found amusement and a small sense of satisfaction in that??? ;

    BTW you should talk to DH about his lack of assistance.  Those are h

  • You're dealing with TWINS by yourself for much of the time while your husband acts like his life hasn't changed at all?  You are way more tolerant than I'd be.  It sounds like you're the only adult in the family, at the moment.

  • Not evil at all!  Glad you sat back and watched ... I hope your feet were up too! :)  Good for you for taking a minute to yourself!
  • Nope. If I were you I would leave him at home a few hours by himself and you go relax. I would probably have killed my DH though by now if he acted like that...

  • Agreed with the others - why do you let him leave you alone with the twins? Sounds like a long talk is overdue... You should both be up at night (even if he works, he can take half the shifts), he should split duty when he's home, and give you at least on
