S/O Overwrapping?

Spinoff of cosleeping post:

So, I loved that article, but I had never heard of "over wrapping" being a risk factor for SIDS before and I don't really know what it means...I probably sound so dumb, but how much wrapping us too much? I swaddle DD with a muslin blanket and she wears sleepers. Her legs stick out of the swaddle that holds her arms in, so then I swaddle over that with a jersey blanket so she doesn't get too cold. Too much wrapping?

I'm probably way overcomplicating this. Hopefully y'all are smarter and more informed than me!! Haha.

  • DD wears a hero sleepsack with the option of swaddling with or without arms in.  She seems to be not too cold/not too hot with that.

  • I *think* overwrapping just refers to layering them with too many layers, swaddling them too tightly, etc.  I think the important thing is to make sure they're still getting good circulation, they're not overheating, they're getting good access to ai
