Question for the BF's

I so dont mean for this post to be weird or offensive, just something I was thinking about. So I took B to a moms group yesterday. I was only one of 2 moms out of about 15 that were not breastfeeding. Now, I have NOTHING against breastfeeding or breastfeeding in public but I found myself a little uncomfortable when I looked up from my plate and almost all the women had their babies nursing. It was like I almost didnt know where to look. I kept trying to look at their faces but my eyes just kept moving to the boobs. I guess my question is, do you find it weird if people glance in the direction of your chest while you feed or are you cool with it. I mean glance, not stare. Staring is creepy.

I don't usually hide the fact that I am breastfeeding, surprisingly I am way more open about it then I thought I would be. In public I will attempt to use a nursing cover, but DS hates it...so it usually end up coming off anyways. When I go to my mom g

  • The key thing here for me was that you were at a moms group. When I take LO to a group I never use a cover. I feel comfortable and most of the other woman bf as well at some point during the group too. When I am in public or at my inlaws or any social gat

  • I use a cover when out however ds likes to rip it off. At a moms group I may just skip it. I have no problems with people glancing at my boobs. Modesty has never been my strong point though.

  • You'd have to look pretty hard to see actual boob, because there's a baby in the way. So I don't mind if people glance, and even if they stare (BIL) it's not like they can see anything a bikini would cover.

  • I would expect someone to look at my face, not my boobs...although, if they do look in that direction, all they see is LO's head, so I guess it's not really a big deal either way! As long as they're not staring at my chest, lol.

  • I use a cover if I nurse in public but I totally expect it to surprise people so I dont take offense to the looks--stares, glances, or otherwise.  In fact Im sure the entire teenage girl staff at our local frozen yogurt place was whispering about me

  • If you're a person I am comfortable to nurse in front of, wandering eyes don't bother me.

I hope that my nursing in public helps to normalize BF for somebody out there!
