Hi Ladies,
I've posted asking about speech issues in the past and mentioned that we were on the waiting list for an evaluation for my now 2 yo DS. Well since we initially requested the assessment 6 months ago and I haven't heard anything back from the health region and DS has made little progress in his expressive language, I went out on my own and found an SLP to evaluate him so we can get him help if he needs it. I was worried he'd continue to fall further behind if there was a serious issue so I need to have this eval done for my piece of mind and for his future success. It will cost me out of pocket ($100/hour) but between DH and my health plan coverage it should be reimbursed. If not $100 towards my sons future is totally worth it.
After much googling, I am leaning towards Apraxia but I guess time will tell.

That's smart--- and then when you get your other eval you can let them know what's up. I will tell you that speech apraxia sometimes tough to point out. Our speech path through the pre-k program picked up on it right away but sometimes doub
