Projectile vomit!

This morning around 5am, my 4 month old daughter woke up, so I put her in bed with me to nurse.  She took a little then started shaking her head back and forth and wouldn't eat anymore.  Then she projectile vomited all over herself, me, and the bed.  I she kept heaving about 3 more times.  It freaked me out horribly!  Needless to say, everyone got a bath after this.  This has happened once before about a month ago.  Any thoughts on what causes this?  Now I keep running into her room during nap time to make sure she's ok.  She isn't running a fever and seems alright now.  This makes me scared to leave her in her own room tonight.

    It isn't vomit at this age, it's spit up, no matter the amount.

    DS projectile vomits like that about once every couple of weeks.  We talked to the pedi about it and she said that spitting up and vomiting is very normal, whether it's breast milk or formula because infants digestive tracts are still learning how to

    I disagree with the PP that babies don't vomit.  However, if it was just fresh looking milk that she just took in, my vote would be spit up.  Also, liquid can look like a LOT even when it's not.  If you took an ounce of water and spilled it

    Not to scare you, but I would be concerned with projectile vomit.  My son is now 4 1/2 months old but at about 3 weeks old he started vomitting.  One day he was vomitting after every meal.  Everyone kept trying to convince me that it was on
