Trip with baby... renting pack n play?

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months
We are taking LO to Florida in May, and we were intially going to bring her Pack N Play to sleep in while away. We were going to bring it, because of safety and health paranoias, but now I think its going to be super expensive to bring on the plane.  What are the general thoughts about renting a PnP, but bringing her own sheets?

    Where will you be staying? If in a hotel, I would just use the hotel one and ask for extra sheets to pad it up.  (I have no safety or paranoia issues though). 

    If you're staying with family/friends call around now and see if a friend of

    I would call the hotel and see what they have, some use pnps others use cribs. Why rent when hotels usually provide them for free or for a nominal fee? On a side note, I have only had one hotel ever give us more than a fitted sheet for their crib so bri

    Check with your airline but most have let me check it with my bags for free.

    Honestly, I would buy one when you get there or use the hotel version. I'd buy one when you get there and ship it back to yourself if you are worried.

    I lugged our PnP on a plane and through the airport. It was a PITA.

    I've used hotel pack n plays six times or so and have yet to have a bad experience.

    In fact they're actually in nicer condition than my at home handmedown version.

    I just Clorox wipe to it and call it a day. I'm not paranoid about much tho

    It should be free to check- if now what is the cost of a checked bag both ways? I just used the crib from the hotel and backed our own sheets

    Thanks guys! I did mean just "renting" one from the hotel... I think I'm set on using the hotel's, and bringing our own sheets for her.  We are flying US Air, and they say that the child can have a stroller or car seat gate checked for free, but I'm
