Fever question

When LO is running a fever, 101.6, do you check their temp in the middle of the night if they don't wake up? I gave him ibuprofen before bed. He didn't want much to eat, just wanted me to hold him so we put him to bed early

I wouldn't wake him if he didn't wake up on his own. I would have done just as you did, medicate and early bedtime, and try to get to bed myself in case a long night (or a marathon of trying to balance a workday without daycare and 2 working parents)is ah

I also usually let Noah sleep when he has a fever. If he's miserable, he'll wake me up and I'll do more meds them. But if I'm up (whether I'm nervous or have to pee) I'll check his temp using the temporal thermometer.
