As an adult, do you want/expect a party for your birthday? I like recognition that it's my birthday, but could care less about a party. DH turns 30 on Friday and we are driving up to see his parents. His mom has asked me multiple times if I am throwing him a party at some point. DH doesn't want one, he doesn't care. But MIL acts like I am a horrible wife. She keeps suggesting things for me to do for him. I am tempted next time to say as long as he gets cake and sex, he doesn't need a party.

I do throw DH a birthday "party" eve
