I've been back to work for about 3 weeks now and it seems like when I'm pumping, I'm not consistent in the amounts that I get. I'm able to pump twice at work and roughly get btwn 6 and 7 oz total. Sometimes it's 4 oz first session and 3 oz the next. Yesterday was 3 oz and 3 oz. But I've had one where I only pumped 2 each session. I drink a ton of water and definitely eat enough during the day. We already supplement one feeding at night with formula because I wasn't producing enough to pump to send to day care.
DS is 13 weeks old and drinks 12 to 14 oz when I'm away. I barely seem to make it, and on nights he doesnt STTN I miss my pumping session due to nursing and have to dip in to freezer stash.
Is there something I can do to make my pumping sessions more productive? I look at pics of DS hoping that will help, but it doesn't seem to change things. I also have never felt the let down sensation ever.
Re: not producing as much?
How much Fenugreek do you take?
I drink 2-3 cups of mothers milk tea, I think that has some in it.
Edit: I take capsules of fenugreek. You can get 200 ct at gnc for 12.
I think you need to pump 3x a day in order to get that much. 3-4 ozs a session is normal
I get almost 5 the first, then 3.5, then around 2-3 the last. Just barely enough for bottles the next day.
Also, I don't understand wh
