Does anyone know if you have a dr's note will USAIR let you rebook flight with no change fee? Or do they not even look at that? My son has a fever and we leave in 2 days. Wanted to see what I coulod possibly do if we cant go.
As a travel agent, no they will not waive any fees for illness. Most airlines don't even waive fees in case of death these days. You are not going to be able to avoid it.
You're probably screwed unless you have trip insurance. We pretty much buy trip insurance for all flights now, since little kids' health is so unpredictable. It's an extra cost but it's proved worth it at least once for us.
