Books

I am starting a library for my LO and have some cool hardcover books. I read to him daily and afterwards let him "play" with the book. Unfortunately his playing is really him tearing up the pages. He is slowly tearing up each book where the pages are all ripped out. Do you let you LO play with the books or only read to him?

btw he's 12 months

Re: Books

  • He only gets to play with board books. Hardcover/paper page books are on a shelf in his closet and I get them out to read to him and put them back before he has a chance to destroy them.

  • At 12 months, it was strictly board books.  It was just too easy for him to tear paper pages.  Even with board books he managed to rip off the flaps on the peek-a-boo type books.  DS is 23 months now and I'd say we successfully started l
