Compromising!

My DH really wanted to know the gender of the baby but I didn't becuase I wanted everything given to us at the shower to be for a girl and boy incase we have another one in the future. You only get one Shower, plus I thought it would be nice for a surprise.

 After fighting with him for several weeks before the Ultrasound, I gave in and compormised with him. We had the Tech write the sex on a piece of paper and sealed it in the Envelope. The envelope will be given to the baker who's doing my cupcakes. The filling in the cupcake will be blue or Pink. I though everyone inlcuding us would bite into the cupcake at the same time.

     Since you asked.... I love a cute gender reveal! But....

    Married DH <3 : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)
    DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18
    FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!

    I feel ya.  I was in the same position.  My compromise was that we would wait until the shower and have a gender reveal party, with icing on the inside of the cake being blue or pink. We decided we would open an envelope, just the two of us,

    That's a fun way to do it...that way you're not stuck with a bunch of gender specific guests, but all of your family and friends that are dying to know at the shower will.  Prepare yourself for another wave of little, more gender specific gifts.
