Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Pool at daycare...

My daughter just turned one this week and i have been thinking about the pool at our daycare yhis summer. she has one of the 1 foot deep kiddie pools for yhe little ones butit makes me very nervous.would you let your daycare provider put your 1 year old in a pool?

  • I would but my boys were touhht to swin at 4 months.... if they weren't so comfortable in and around water prolly not..

  • No way: that scares me. That's a lot of responsibility to give to a daycare provider. I'm overly protective and know a young child who drowned not to long ago. And they were a little older and with their family. So to me it's just too scary to chance. But
  • I totally would. My DCP is the most responsible, watch kids like a hawk person I know.

    She's really overprotective where I am not, so I don't worry about what happens at daycare at all really.

  • So, it's a kiddie pool right? Like a plastic tub kind of pool? I'd be fine with that. Our daycare has water day once a week in the summer. They bring out a couple of kiddie pools, water tables, buckets, etc.. and let the kids splash around for an hour or

  • For me, it totally depends on how many other kids she's watching and their ages. If it was just 2 little ones, I'd be okay with that. If there were a couple 2-4 year olds in the mix, I don't think I'd be comfortable with that. DD is 4 and talks constantly
