Bath Anxiety

My DD seems to like baths but we usually do it right at bedtime and by then she is fussing and hungry.  My DH doesn't get home until right before the bedtime routine starts so moving it up isn't an option.  Unless I bathe her by myself.  I have such anxiety about this!! I'm using an infant tub still since she is 4 months.  He usually holds her up out of the tub at the end so that I can rinse her.  How would I do this solo?? Any other moms bathe their LO by themselves?  What is best way?

Re: Bath Anxiety

  • I just use a cup and pour water on my LO to get all the soap off while she is still in the water.

  • I lift her up and flip her face down, resting her chest in the crook of my elbow so she is supported really well (and she's only about an inch and a half from the infant tub). I use a measuring cup with pour spout to rinse off her back quickly, then lift

  • I do two different things depending on my mood. 1. I shower with my DD. she loves it! My infant tub had a little seat that set inside. I take the seat in the shower with me And set her in it. While I'm washing myself she sits in her seat looking up. The w
  • DS is 5 months and I always bathe him myself. We have the Angelcare bath seat for the big tub. I drain the bath and pour fresh water over him, have his towel over my shoulder, scoop him up and snuggle him in his towel.
  • I always bathe LO by myself. I just put him in the kitchen sink. We have a pull out spray faucet so that is what I use to rinse him off when I'm done. Saves the back and knees! I hold him with one hand and wash/rinse him with the other. I also bought

  • I bathe DS by myself during the week, and DH & I do it together on weekends.  I use very little soap so honestly I just use the same bath water to rinse him.  It's not like DS is crawling in mud or covered in poop that he needs a thorough sc

  • I do 95% of the baths by myself. Occasionally I'll put LO in the tub with DH and he washes her and I take her out. I have used the big tub since she was born. Once she started to wriggle a lot I got the mesh bath sling/seat and that made it easier to wash
