Swing Set Recommendations for 2 year old?

Hey y'all! My son turns *2* on May 7th and we wanted to surprise him with a wooden swing set in our back yard (this mama is tired of driving 20 minutes to the nearest park daily!) ...I have been researching swing sets for the past week and to be honest, I am so confused now!  Our price limit is $1,000 but we'd be happy to stick closer to $800.  Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it *seems* that the cheaper ($300-$500) sets don't last much in the long run or have weak wood that is included.  Again, that's just what I seem to get from reviews but please let me know if you know of a set that is excellent in that price range!  The three I have eyeballed but am not certain on are:

Gorilla Playsets Outing III Play Set ($899 HomeDepot.com), Swing 'n Slide Juneau Wood Complete Play Set Kit ($1099 Swing-N-Slide.com) & Swing 'n Slide Sherwood Tower Residential Wood Play Set ($899 Lowes.com)

I'd love any input if anyone has/had any of the above mentioned or recommendations.  We hope to place an order in the next two weeks and then find a handyman to assemble this while DH is at work, since we don't have any family nearby to help & asking friends is like pulling teeth :)

  • We are getting ours from shedusa. We haven't got it yet-but I am hoping it is soon.

The price was 999, but that also included delivery AND installation. I didn't want to go with a cheaper one, because I didn't want the hassle of putting it togeth

  • Ours was like 700. We got it from Walmart online. We are happy with it. The quality is decent. It won't last forever but we don't need it to! If you can get it somewhere where they'll assemble it or hire a handy man, do it. I'll never go the DIY route a

  • We just got the Costco one last week.  It was $999, but it was on sale for $799.
  • From my experience with swing sets and play grounds, stairs are better than ladders. My DD fell off a ladder one time and landed on her crotch and I can only imagine how bad that felt for her. Also, my DD LOVES slides. She even goes to the tallest slid

  • We bought a set from Costco while we were doing some remodeling, and just asked the contractor to hire an extra worker for a day to assemble it for us, so it worked out well and the quality is great...I also really like that Costco stands behind their

  • This one is a bit out of your price range, but we love it.

DD2 was able to use it last year at 2. It's also a great size for DD1 with room to grow.

  • It's not the same one you're looking at, but we just bought/installed a Gorilla brand set for our boys.  We bought it because of the great reviews of the brand.  And FYI, we found ours cheapest online through Walmart!

  • We bought a wooden playset kit from Menards and then bought additional "add on" pieces.  The original kit had a slide, playhouse, 2 swings, and a monkey bar/ring set with a climbing wall.  We bought the add on tunnel set with ladder, an addition
