Please help. To start i have pockets with microfiber inserts. I have an old top load and hard water. My wash routine. Warm rinse, hot wash ,2 cold rinses. I make my own detergent but i think that may be some of the my problem even though i have been usingit for 5 months with no problem. I also have been using calgon.
I notice the smell as soon as she pees and they still smell after they are washed. I tried using vinegar but it didnt help and made the rash worse even though i put it the prerinse. Do i need to strip them? What detergent will work best for hard water? I can get ecos at my local store. Any help would be great. Tia

If Tide is a no-go, I'd try the Ecos. Just use a full dose - none of this messing around with a teaspoon or tablespoon. Hard water means that first the water gets softened by the detergent, and then what is leftover gets to clean the diapers.

Meant to ask - what do you use on clothes?
I'd probably just try that, if you know your DD doesn't react to it. I've had more luck breaking detergent rules than by following them.
