Hey ladies,

 I have an opportunity to move into a management position that would mean more time and more responsibility at work, as well as more stress.  Other than the added pressure, I feel like the job would be a good fit.

 I guess I'm just asking if you would move into a management position with small kids (18 months and 3 months)?

    If MH had a less crazy job yes. Not that MHs job is more important than mine but I wouldn't want both of us to be getting home late, stressed, exhausted all the time.

    From experience I took on a bigger position but I'm glad it puts us in a better place financially, it also gives me weekends off which I love!!

    That's hard to answer.

    How important is the extra income to your family?

    Will it be a lot more work just in the beginning, then ease up as you grow accustomed to the job? Managing people is harder and inherently more work, but like anything

    I would not..  but I should add that I am not a career oriented person anymore.  My heart is at home with DD and I do not want to spend another minute away from her than I have to.  I am desperately trying to work out a budget for me to

    I had a similar opportunity come up for me while I was on Mat Leave with B... I interviewed and then, after a few days, iIdecided to recind my application. I am perfectly happy being a worker and not a manager.
