Tomorrow is going to suck

DD2 is getting her tubes tomorrow (unless I go into labour before then).

The instructions I got are to not let her eat past midnight, then she can have apple juice or Powerade/Gatorade up until 10AM, then nothing at all. Surgery isn't until the afternoon (between 1PM and 2:30PM they said). I am already dreading the "I AM STARVING!" meltdown.

    Oh no that really sux!  You'd think they'd schedule first thing in the a.m. for the little ones who don't understand why they can't eat!!

    You're kidding! How the heck do they expect her not to eat? Why couldn't they do morning surgery? Sorry you have to deal with that.

    Yeah it really blows.

    I guess that's the downside to going to the children's hospital for it. ALL the patients are little ones, so I guess they give priority to more complex (read: longer) procedures.

    I am surprised they have her surgery so late. Chase had his at 6 months but his surgery was at 8 and we couldn't let him eat or drink after midnight either. I hope the day goes by fast.

    I had to do that with DS2 when he had dental surgery. I gave him a huge dinner and after that he wasn't allowed to eat. He was only allowed small sips of water in the morning. To be honest, he watched a lot of cartoons until we had t
