gas drops still? (x-posted)

Hello!  I'm a LONG time lurker...just decided to join in.  I've greatly enjoyed reading this board for months!  As a first-time mom it's been so helpful to read about everyone's experiences as we go along.

My baby boy was born in January and is now 3 months old. He was incredibly gassy so we have been using gas drops and probiotics since he was a month old.  The gas drops help immensely!  I'm wondering when we can stop using them?  I tried feeding without gas drops over the weekend and it didn't go well....lots of gas and crying which we haven't had for 6 weeksor more.  When do babies outgrow gas?

  • They're forever gassy, that doesn't go away. But the pain does.  DD farts all day long but it doesn't bother her.  Are you sure its the gas that bothers him?  Or his he fussy for another reason, like from being over-tired?
