Two baby monitors?

I still use a baby monitor at night and for naps on my 13 month old. We are expecting our second when he's 21 months and I can't imagine giving up the monitor on him by then, but I can't have two going for each baby... Can I? What do you do for two babies in separate rooms? Do I need to wean myself off from using it with my oldest?

  • I think monitors are about what you're comfortable with.  If you are more comfortable having one on each child, then by all means, have one on each child.  I know actually seeing my 20 month old sleeping on the video monitor sure gives me peace

  • My second DD was born when DD was 18 months old. They are 13 months and pushing 3yo now. I still have audio monitors on both. I've never had video monitors on either, so I can't speak to that. But the two audios I have don't interfere with each other.

  • We will be using two monitors after I give birth to DS in June.  We currently use the AngelCare video monitor and sensor pad for DD (even in her toddler bed) who is 21mo. We will move the video monitor to DS's room and then use the regular AngeclC

  • We bought Lorex video monitors when our second was born.  We have one in each of the girls' bedrooms, and have a third camera in the playroom.  You can have up to four, which I love.  We've been very happy with it; you can talk to the

  • We have the Summer Infant slim handheld.  A camera for each room and one monitor.  That monitor allows us to set it to scan each camera at about a 5 second interval.

  • We have two monitors. One our 20 mo I purchased just the Angel Care sound monitor, while our nursery and 4mo have the Angel Care movement monitor. I wanted something in the toddler room and I can tell by sound if he needs something.
