My burglar alarm just went off

DH is out of town for one night, I'm alone in the house except for my toddler, and my burglar alarm goes off at 1am. The police came and checked it out and it seems like it's nothing; it was my bedroom window alarm, and when I tried to re-set the alarm, the system thought the window was open (it wasn't; it was even still locked) until I jiggled it around. This happened once before, on the same window, ALSO when DH was out of town (though DD and I were staying at a friend's house that time), so I'm basically 100% sure that no one actually tried to break in.
BUT SERIOUSLY?? This had to happen when DH was gone? And, extra ironically, my dad and brother were in town to visit all week but left after dinner. They almost stayed one more night "just in case" because DH was out of town, but they had a long drive back and the weather report isn't looking good so they didn't want to rush. And as they were reluctantly leaving (because my dad is protective like that), I told my brother the story about how crazy it was the last time this happened when DH was out of town, and how glad I was that I wasn't at home that time because how totally scary would it have been had I been home alone!
Ugh. Anyway everything is fine but now I can't go back to sleep and no one is awake to talk to so you get to hear about it. I am calling the alarm company first thing in the morning to fix that window alarm.
