Trouble TTC

First Gonal f/Ovidrel run

Hello All!

I am new to the bump and wanted/needed a little support. This is my first trial of what my Dr. calls full stim. I have been ttc for about 4 yrs now. I was newly diagnosed with severe endometriosis last summer after undergoing numerous testing and I had finally given in and done a laproscopy after 2 m/cs the year before. Since my first lapro I have had 2 more surgeries for the endo due to my uterus being fused to my stomach lining. All is good now since my recent surgery at the end of March, so the dr wanted me to do it asap.

I had tried Clomid 5 times prior to finding out my diagnosis and Clomid/Gonal F/Ovidrel before my recent surgery with no success. I'm hoping this trial will work for me.

My regimen consisted of gonal f 150 iui x 7days, u/s with 17mm follicle and 13 mm follicle  (and like 9-10 immature) and then 75iui x 3. I developed abd pain and with reading all the forums figured I had OHSS and have been dealing with it for about 5 days.

So long story short, how many people develop this and are there any success stories out there with endo and gonal f/ovidrel. Thanks!

  • Hi! I have no experience with this regimen but I did want to say that I am so so sorry you have been through so much for so long! You won't find any success stories here since most of us have never been pregnant and are trying for #1. Maybe try asking on

  • Dito PP about finding success stories, but if you are dealing with OHSS make sure you are loading up on Gatorade, lean protein, and salty snacks. It will help with the bloat. And be sure to keep weighing yourself, if your weight shoots up fast in 24 hours

  • I read up on other forums about OHSS and I did go out and get Gatorade (or Powerade cuz the store didn't have the other) and within 30 mins the pain subsided. I have been bloated since my surgery in March cuz my RE put "sludge" in me to prevent further ad
