Especially as a comorbid to ASD.
if B's teacher is seeing the same things I am he will be getting a diagnosis from the Developmental Pedi.
I'm not really surprised since my family runs deep with it both Dx'ed and unDx'ed but likely ADHD. However, all my mom did for my brother was throw drugs at him (mostly because she wanted unfettered access to stimulants-yup she's a peach). So I don't really know much about the behavioral or education pieces.
What are the good books or information sources? What will I need to address at his transition and IEP meetings? What educational impacts would be separate from ASD?
Thank You!

Re: School me on ADHD
Thanks Auntie. I always appreciate your wealth of experience and willingness to take the time to share it.
My mother is a peach for many reasons but you are likely correct on the addiction issues being related to self medication. Sinc

Thanks again. You always give me a lot to think about.
If he does meet the criteria is there any benefit to getting an ADHD diagnosis this young? He's already accessing educational and private supports/interventions.

I didn't even think of lowered expectations. :-( I've run Into it a little bit when people have only seen him on paper.
I've already gotten the "he's fine, he's just a boy" line regarding his ASD diagnosis. It's mostly by the older me
