We're planning a trip in May and this will be our first time in a hotel with DS as a toddler. The sleeping arrangements are kind of stressing me out. At almost 40 lbs, I'm guessing he is going to be too big for a little hotel crib. The only time he is ever in our bed at home is on Sunday mornings when we're cuddling and goofing around. He has NEVER slept in our bed. When we lost power during the hurricane, we tried to bring him into our bed after he fell asleep to keep warm, but he woke up and thought it was a party. We ended up bundling him up and returning him to his crib.
So....what is my best option? Get a room with double beds, bring bed guards, and put him in a bed by himself? Have one of us sleep with him? Or get a king bed and try to have us all in one bed? I'm afraid king bed = party, so that's probably not the best of the options.
Re: Hotel with LO
Ha,
We just stayed in a hotel 2 wkends ago for a wedding & DD barely fit in the hotel crib, lol - there's no way DS would have fit!
W had 2 full beds in the room & MH slept in one & DS & I shared the other. It was terrible b/c DS slep
We traveled last weekend and B slept in the hotel crib, but he's a peanut (maybe 25 lbs and 34 inches).
One of the things we talked about was turning the sofa around to face the wall (or putting the other chairs in front of the sofa) so there's l

I'd be getting a room with a king bed and making my kid sleep on the floor. You could get one of those toddler cots or just ask the hotel for extra blankets to make a cushy floor bed.
As for what to do that won't wake him, when I was little
oh I just wanted to add that what we did for DS was:
The nightstand already butted up to the top of the bed on one side - next to where the pillows are. Then we rolled the bulky desk chair right up against the nightstand & bed. We put t
I guess I'm totally behind the times (and my guy is littler), but we did a pack & play in March and it worked. But at 40 pounds, your guy is probably too big.
Does he sleep at a daycare? How does he do nap there? Could you set up something sim
We got a suite with 2 beds. I'm hoping he will sleep okay in a bed by himself. I'm going to put extra pillows on the floor next to
I've been in my fair deal of sleeping alone with J in hotellrooms, cabins and other one bed/bedroom situations. For us it did not matter if it was the crib, or if he slept in a big bed. - There will not be much sleeping.
It is a new situation, a
I was stressed out about our trip to Disney for the same reasons. If she gets in our bed at home it's party time not sleep time. There we got two queen beds and asked for bed rails. It worked out fine. She was so tired that when
O is still ina crib. When I traveled with him recently he slept in his own double bed. I stacked pillows and stuff up around the edges-he doesn't move much at night-so he was totally fine. When he sleeps at my in-laws they have an air
