Do you think there ready to potty train?

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My twins just turned 1 and all of a sudden the moment the get done peeing they take of thrir diaper.  And when they go #2 they stand before they go and then the cry when there done till you change them.And won't sit down until they are clean...

There my first and I am kinda nervous about starting to early or to late....

    Funny you ask...I just picked up a potty seat for my LO last night. I dont know how ready he is, but my plan is to let him see it play with it and sit him on it when I go. So he can get the idea and get over the "new toy" aspect of it.

    First, it is "they're." 1 year is really young to potty train, as a big part of potty training effectively involves maturity of the muscles used to "hold it." DS is 17 months, tell us when he goes pee or poop, but isn't remotely close to ready to PT.

    There are a lot of factors that go into determining when they're really ready to pt, BUT I don't see any harm in encouraging their curiosity. Give them a chance to pee on the potty if they want to, but don't push it. I have been putting my DD on the toile
