Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Early riser!!

Anyone else have a 14 month old who wakes at 5am!? He goes to bed between 7308 every night...

It's not a huge deal bc he gets to see daddy before he leaves for work but he is tired within 2 hours of waking.

  • I don't have as early a riser as you, but I will say it's not unusual for DS to get tired a few hours after waking.  He did used to get up that early until I put my foot down and decided he's not allowed to be up before 6:30.  Have you tried lea

  • Mine does not rise quite that early but what I found in my efforts to try and move her wake up time later was that a later bedtime was making it worse :/ I started reading healthy sleep habits health child by Marc weissbluth and it said over and over that

  • While my LO didn't get up at 5a, but at that age he always went down for his morning nap about 2hrs after waking.

    Ditto PP, there's a thread just down the page about this. But I would try an earlier bedtime to help ensure LO is getting suffi

  • Yup our now 19th month old has been a 5-6am riser all along.  We moved bedtime from 7:00 up to 6:00 for awhile to help get her better rested and now bedtime is around 6:30 and she wakes between 5:30 and 6 (though today at 4:30 but she's going through
