Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Baby will only nap in moms arms, help?!

My 5 month old will only nap in my arms! I have tried his swing, bouncer, the floor, and he especially hates his crib! I have tried letting him cry it out... Today I put him in his crib drowsy at 2 pm, at 5 pm he was still screaming! I went in and comforted him a few times, fed him once when he would normally eat. Then let him cry from 4-5. Finally I went in and took him out. He is currently sleeping in my arms.

I am at a loss with what to do. I get nothing done having to hold him every day. Any suggestions or reassurance that this will not last forever?!

  • My daughter is about to be 4 months and she does the same thing. You're basically describing my life. I stopped fighting it and I just hold her. It was torture for her and me. I bought a moby wrap sort of thing. I think babies like them grow it out eventu
