There are several things annoying me about adults pointing out personality and physical traits as being girly or not at our LOs age.
Right now any time N becomes fussy or whines at all, it's because she's a girl. No, it's not. She's a toddler. All toddlers are whiny buttholes from time to time.
Does anyone else notice or roll their eyes at some of this stuff?

Alastair's stranger anxiety? He has to toughen up, it's not ok for a boy to be scared.
His hair is too long.
Cuddling him? Wrong.

Yes, we get that when DD is being whiney. I am told she is "just a little diva...all girl." And I am saying "funny, because I remember my nephews doing the SAME THING at this age...I think it's a TODDLER thing."

I was recently told that girls are more independent. I'm not certain that's true. I think it has a lot to do with the individual.
I'm also super annoyed by people who meet DD for the first time and call her "Princess." Barf.
