Gah, I am so frustrated right now that if I were a cartoon character steam would be coming out of my ears.

My BIL and SIL invited us to go deep sea fishing with them on May 11th. We had originally planned on going last summer but our loss happened during our vacation so we didn't go. The only difference now is that we have our 2 wonderful furbabies and figuring out the logistics of having their needs met while we're gone for 15 hours isn't something I can figure out right away. We're leaving at 5am and likely won't be home until 9 or 10pm, far FAR too long for them to be crated and without bathroom breaks. BIL and SIL also have two dogs, so I asked them what they were doing with theirs for the day...SIL's answer? "Oh, they'll be in the bathroom with everything they need." Indifferent Seriously?!?! I feel so bad for those two dogs, and just pissed that they think this is an acceptable solution. GRRRR

    Wow, I would be irritated too. Poor dogs!

    Omg!  That's awful.  If I'm going to be gone longer than 4-5 hours MAX I have someone at my house to let them potty, eat, etc.  Those poor puppies. Sad

    Ugh, it really is amazing what people think is acceptable. On the other hand, I have been in a situation where our dogs were going to be alone for 12 hours. We don't crate them during the day anyway, but the only thing I could do was leave a ton of pott

    LLP, have you looked into doggy day camps? I've used those occasionally with my dogs and they love it.

    Omg!!! I can't believe they are doing it. Those poor dogs. They will probably try to hold it all day too.
