DD1 is starting to trace letters. She is able to do the "A" and the "M" on her own. DH and I are super proud of her.
When I went to pick her up from DC today, I mentioned it to her teacher. Her response "Are you showing her upper case or lower case?". Errrr upper case. It's easier. "Well you should show her lower case. If you teach her upper case, she's going to have to un-learn it all when she starts school and they teach her lower case".
Excuse me? How about a little "Way to go DD1" first, then you can share your concerns (and how about you don't do it with such a sh!tty attitude while you're at it)

IMO, her teacher is wrong in a way. Any kind of writing practice is great, regardless of being uppercase or lowercase. She's only 3, I'm sure if she's already writing uppercase she will be quick to learn lowe
