Okay so I need some help. We're having twin baby boys and I am going to have a C Section that will restrict me to the downstairs area of our home (for a few weeks). My question is should I plan to maybe set a crib up down here for both? Or could we just use a twin pack in play? or separate pack n plays? From what I've read co-sleeping is discouraged bc of SIDS. I really dont like the idea of having them sleep together in 1 crib. They are fraternal twins. We are going to buy 2 cribs. Also buying 2 bassinets for just a few weeks doesn't seem realistic. Looking for some advice from you guys who have already experienced this. thank you! maybe i am over thinking this...just want to get a plan in my mind going.
Re: Sleeping arrangements for first 8 weeks for twins
Hey sweets. We didn't buy a special 'twin' PNP. We just went with the standard PNP that has the hammock (upper level). The twins slept in the upper level for the first couple of months right next to our bed. When they got too bi
We used an Arms Reach CoSleeper for the first 2-3 months, attached to our bed. Both babies fit in the original one together. After that we transitioned them to their own cribs.

We got two Rock 'N Plays. Going with two was strongly suggested to me by some Twin Moms who said their twins slept in the RNPs for a while.
Something to consider.
Depending on how your surgery goes, you may be more mobile than you think. I had a C section, and we all slept in our upstairs bedroom and spent the day in our downstairs living room. I would come downstairs in the morning and then go back upstairs at
In my experience, there was no such thing as sleeping arrangements for newborns. We spent the first 8 weeks holding them and sleeping in recliners. No reflux issues, they just wanted to be held. After two months they started going down e
For about 6 weeks they did all of their sleeping in RNPs. They are extremely convenient because they're so lightweight that we could just pick them up and carry them from the living room to our room when we went to bed (I had a c-section and had no pro

We use RnP's, it also helps with the reflux issues. Originally we planned to use PnP's, but the RnP's were so light and took up much less space. I have a PnP set up downstairs that I can use if needed.

My kids sleep in PnPs and RnPs at night (in the living room with me) and in separate cribs (in the nursery) during the day. DH and I take shifts with the kids, so it's easiest to have them in the living room at night because the kitchen (we bottl
