Food Allergy

Hives

Has anyone ever had hives that didn't go away with benedryl? LO is having hives and lots of redness on his hands and feet. I originally thought it was allergy related but now I'm worry might be something else.  Thoughts?

  • Is it on the soles of his feet? Could it be hand, foot, and mouth disease?

  • have you spoken to your LO's doctor or a dermotolagist?  Has she been tested for allergies?  perhaps try doing a limitation diet

  • DD had an allergic reaction to a medication and her hives did not go away with benadryl/zyrtec for about 4 days. Her tongue swelled too, but that improved with the benadryl.

    Hives can also be caused by a virus.
