IVFers- need advice

I've been on bc since 4/2 and started my Lupron injects on Friday. I had my suppression ultrasound today with the plan to start stims on Sunday.

Basically, I've "broken through" the meds and my body is gearing up to ovulate on its own. I had a 13,14,15, and 17 follicles in there, my uterine lining was thickening as well(although she didn't say how thick) My estradiol level was 400.

Initially they were going to cancel me straight out, but now they want to give me "one last chance" for this cycle.They said to stop the bc, keep up the Lupron and the hope is with the period from Lupron that my hormone levels will drop and I will shed my lining to be thin enough.

I go back Friday for b/w and another ultrasound. If everything is satisfactory we can proceed with our stims, if not, we'll be cancelled.

I guess what I'm wondering is, how realistic do you think this is? Do you think I'm realistic in expecting to be canceled? Would you go ahead with the ultrasound on Friday or would you just cancel everything now and save the money from another ultrasound and wait another month or so to start over. They said the soonest we could do another ER would be 6/10.

    I would see it through just so you will never look back and say I wish I would have.  There is no perfect cycle.  And the ones that work often have numerous troubles.  I am sorry you are dealing with this :(

    That's really good advice. Thanks, girls. My 3 IUI's were all "textbook" so I was hoping I'd be that lucky again- but now I'm realizing that it's perfectly normal to have a few hiccups.

    I'll go to my appointment on Friday and see what happens.</

    I think my stats are in my siggy, but the first IVF we got 11 eggs and only 5 mature, 4 fertliized and 2 were really good for a 3dt.  BFN.  Then the second IVF we were looking at only 9 measurable follies with several way ahead. I talked to m

    TTC#1: 14 months on our own (did HSG, b/w, SA);
    BFP on Cycle 14--TWINS! Identical twin boys stillborn at 19wks(1/9/10)
    3 break cycles; took clomid 50mg, BFP #2 Beta #1 35, Beta #2 338!!! Owen was born 2/11/11!

    I was the same way. All of my IUIs, oral medication and injectable cycles, were textbook, but not one of my IVF cycles have been. There seems to be a lot more trial and error and tweaking involved in IVF cycles. Good luck!
