Trouble TTC

Never thought I would be...

back on BCP. I went off almost 2 years ago and vowed to never go back on.

Went for my CD3 monitoring appt today and had 2 small cysts on my ovary. Doc said we could see what the bloodwork says but she is hesitate to proceed these cycle because I only have one ovary and we don't want to mess it up.

So here I am on BCP for a week, hoping the cysts will go away and going back next Monday to see where they are at. If they are gone then we will move forward in this cycle.

While I am frustrated about the whole situation, I am happy that I don't have to sit out the whole cycle, and may just behind a week or so instead of a month.

The positive is that I responded SUPER well to Clomid last cycle. The RE was sure I was going to come back pregnant with twins, my hormone levels were so high (double what most people's normally are).

Anyone have experience going back on the pill? What else is it used for? Have you used it to clear up cysts, and did it work?

  • Sorry about the cysts, at least it's just a week.  Hope they're gone by your next appointment!

  • Sorry.  I know it is frustrating.  when I was first dx with PCOS I had to go back on birth control for two months to help regulate things and try to shrink the cysts they were seeing on my ovaries.  Probably a different kind of condition
