inconsistent eating

DS, over the last two weeks or so, has been inconsistent in his eating. It is still every 34 hours, but sometime he takes1 oz, sometimes 4. Over the last 5 days he has only taken 1620 oz in a day. Since March 22 he has not gained any real weight to speak of. Next doc appointment is in May. Should I be worried? He is bottle fed

    I would put in a call to the nurse line just for a piece of mind. If you appointment was sooner I would say just go with it,

    dd only gained a pound from her 2.5 to 3.5 month appointment....she was eating the same way, sometimes an ounce, sometimes 6 sometimes 3...whatever she felt like, and around 2-3 hours between....the dr said i should change the nipple flow and to make s

    This happened to DS when the nipple became too slow for him. All of the sudden it was taking him 45 minutes to finish a bottle and he was falling asleep during feeding (again). I switched to medium flow, and it took him a few days to get used to it, but n

    Story of Mr. C's life! He'll eat 18oz one day and 24oz the next. I was very concerned and took him to the doc. She said he was gaining just fine and not to force feed him. Our next appt is in May as well. Can't wait to see where his weight is at.
