DH and I were thinking of having a welcome home BBQ a for weeks after the twins come home, but I'm not sure if it a good idea. The party would likely be at the end of June and it would be close friends and family so we can make sure everyone has washed their hands and also control how many people touch them. My baby shower was canceled because they were born the week before, so this would be the replacement. Would you do this? Is it a bad idea because of all of the people maybe around 25 or so?

Our precious girl, born at 27 weeks.
I wouldn't host any kind of party so soon after coming home with newborns! Those first few weeks were full of no sleep, feedings, diaper changes, etc, that I couldn't even imagine having to coordinate a party!
I'm sure that you could
