Did you need to get your body ready?

Hi ladies,

I am considering trying for 2u2 although DH is not as on board as I am.  My sister and I are 16 months apart and grew up extremely close while DH has a 3 year gap with each sibling.

My question is did you take anything in addition to prenatals to get your body ready for a close pregnancy?  I have read that it takes the female body 3 years to regain pre-pregnancy calcium and iron levels and this can affect the second pregnancy.  I want to talk to my OB about it but wanted to know if others had insights to share.

  • Nope-just continued taking prenatals along with eating healthy. I had my vitamin levels tested in early pregnancy with my second and they were perfect. I was not anemic/vitamin deficient postpartum either. I understand this is probably the blanket stateme

I continued taking my prenatals after my son was born. I also took extra calcium since that was something I've always taken.

  • No... But I will say the end of the second pregnancy was Very hard on me after a great first pregnancy, and I was fighting preterm labor from 34 weeks... Gave birth at 37 and a half...

However, neither my doctor nor I know if it was the back

  • I haven't done anything special and I actually feel better this pregnancy than the last. I didn't get down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was still thin from fitting into my wedding dress with my first pregnancy. With the second I was 20 pounds heavier

  • My reproductive endocrinologist recommended 9 months between pregnancies for the body to recharge.  Pretty funny because DS1 is considered a miracle baby, and I never thought it would happen again, or it would take a very long time, so we started
