Moby position question

My newborn refuses to curl up in the froggy hold like your average newborn in the Moby. He wants his legs straight. He's 12 lbs, 23 in. Is he too small to put his legs out through the fabric? I don't remember when DS1 switched holds to the legs out position.

You can do legs out in a wrap from birth so definitely give it a go!

I started LO with legs out around 4-6wks (it's kind of a blur lol)? He was much happier than when we tried it with his legs in.

My LO always seemed too big for the newborn "hug hold," and I could never get him positioned well. He was always chin-to-chest, stressing me out. I started doing the "kangaroo hold" which is legs out, and we're both much happier.
