Hi Everyone,
I've been looking into our ttc issues for quite some time now and was wondering what other couples with this problem have done with any success.
My cycles are awful. One month I'm 28 days, the next I'm 40, and so on. It runs in the family, everything has been tested and is in working order, and I've decided to try and do this without fertility drugs for the time being. It's a personal choice and it may change but I'm sensitive to these things and would rather not be super-moody and hard to deal with. I've done research, charted, used tests and learned as much as I can about predicting timing with a very random cycle but the only thing that seems to be a guarantee are ovulation tests and when you're unsure of when to start testing they get SO expensive.
The advice I'm looking for is pretty widespread. Dollar store ovulation test experiences, what to do when you can't predict and after a year it's just too expensive to buy those drug-store ovulation test kits... and how to stay positive. Something that has actually worked for you would be great to hear about.
We are both under 30, no children, married for a few years now and have been ttc for just over one year. This is my first post here so please excuse any missing info. I hope I chose the right board for my question but please let me know if I should be posting elsewhere.
Thank you everyone ![]()

TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF
Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs
Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14)
Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
I ordered the wondfo OPK from Amazon, they are super cheap but I do also use the Clear Blue and Easy digital on cycles that we are trying an IUI. You should start testing around days 12-16 of your cycle (give or take)...maybe for one month test everyda
