My parents go by Nana and Grandpa. It started out as Grana, but DD could only say 'nana' so that stuck. DH's parents go by Mimi and Poppie or Pop. MIL started out as Grammy, but the kids called her mimi, so that stuck.
When DS was little he remembered who they all were by their pets. All are either grandma or grandpa, but he adds the pets name at the end. There's gma and GPS Chelsea, daisy, and wrigley.

My parents are G-Ma and G-Pa. My inlaws got wind of that and said they are going to be Gr-Ma and Gr-Pa. Ugh that's not confusing at all!

Those are what the parents came up with, anyway...I'm sure DD will pick her own names out for them, and they'll love them.
