Threatened trigger

Threatened abortion. It says on my checkout sheet from my OB. Can't they think of a better way to say "she's spotting, lets keep an eye on her"?Geez. Rant over.

    I hate it when the office is so cut dry. Just remember they write in "Dr. Speak" for their own info. Doesn't reflect on you.

    Unfortunately in the medical world, this is pretty much the only term/reason why pregnant women spot when pregnant, even though there seems to also be a myriad of other reasons for it as well.

    When I had my m/c my papers said "abortion" on them. I had a huge melt down over it and shouted at the nurse. Unfortunately, it's medical terms for a m/c.

    Mc are coded as 640.03 AB threatened There is also codes for complete, habitual, incomplete, missed, and recurrent. A dc in the office I work in they say they are getting rid of the products of conception they rearly use the word abortion.

    That's so stupid. They should be a little more sensitive of their wording on things like that.

    That's weird to me.  In my book, an abortion is elective.  A m/c is unwanted or natural.

    I get it. Abortion is just such a charged term. He OB never used that term when we were talking, so I supposed it is part of the coding or whatever. It's medical use is just very disconnected from the widely used term. I about spit water all over my keybo

    Yea their termonology sucks. i went thru that with dd. At week 5 i had spotting and passed several small clots. They found an empty sac and told me not to get my hopes up. Two weeks later at the next ultrasound there was a wiggly little baby with a strong
