Allergy Meds?

DD is suffering horribly from allergies (like the rest of us). Are they too young for allergy medicine? I know I can give her benedryl, but it makes her drowsy. Do they make non-drowsy for toddlers? I asked her pedi at her 18 month old check-up yesterday, but I couldn't really hear over DD's screaming,and was flustered trying to restrain my kicking toddler. No shots and the kids still screamed like the doctor was going to rip her arm off just looking in her ear.I will check again with the pedi office, but though I would check hear as well.

  • We used Zyrtec with E when he was 2. We also used Benadryl liquid.

    I am calling this AM to make sure it's okay daily for seasonal allergies. I've been giving her half a teaspoon when I give it to her. Bonus--she loves it! Benadryl is a battle, but she would lick

    My daughter's allergist has her taking a nightly dose of children's Zyrtec. I think she takes 1/2tsp(not at home so I can't check).

  • C takes Alllerga, it doesn't work very well for him, but better than benadryl. My insurance refuses to pay for any prescription allergy medicine until I can prove that a list of like 10 OTC medicines don't work. Fruck them. I would see your dr and what he
