Getting 14 month old back in crib

After my little ones first year appointment she refused to sleep in her crib. I am talking 45-1hr of crying horribly no matter how often or how less we reassured her.

She will only sleep in the crib in the daytime when daddy or my sister in law puts her in the crib.

If she even knows I am around she will not go into the crib.

What can we do? Cry it out isn't working for her.

    Have you tried white noise or music?  Or does she have a lovey or stuff animal that could comfort her?  Is the temp in her room ok?  Hopefully this is a phase or someone will have a helpful suggestion that will work.

    We're trying to get her to console with a baby doll every night and give her "hugs and kisses". 

    She seems more obsessed with twirling my hair and going to bed. She used to self-soothe sucking her thumb and went straight to sleep. It was 360

    I am experiencing the same thing with my 18 month old and nothing that was suggested works. He will cry like crazy if you put him in his crib. After about 5 minutes of nonstop crying I will put him in my bed and he falls right asleep...Go figure! Doesn't
