Double Ear Infection :(

Just got back from the doctor with DS and he has a double ear infection. I feel like I should have known it was this earlier in the week :( He's been abnormally crabby (which is saying something because he's a crabby kid to begin with), and had a fever of 102 yesterday. Tylenol made the fever go away, but then this morning it was back again and I noticed he tugged behind his ear a few times. He's been sleeping way more than normal, which I should have known was too good to be true.

And after a little internet reading I am now scared to death he has meningitis. DH says I'm crazy. And I probably am...but OMG Dr. Google is scary!

    Aww, poor DS and poor you!  My DS had a double ear infection about 6 weeks ago - it's rough when they're sick (or crabby and you don't know why, which is how mine was!)  Did your pedi give you Amoxicillin for it?  Hope it clears up quickly

    Don't beat yourself up! DD has had two double ear infections that we were late getting to the doc for b/c we thought she was teething, so we decided we would take her in right away next time she showed the same symptoms. Well, she showed the exact same

    Ugh, been there, done that.  I had the same reaction when it happened to us. I totally thought it was teething.  For what it is worth, pedi said it is really hard to tell the difference between teething and an ear infection.  I hope the med

    Just wanted to say sorry he's sick, and hang in there. Don't beat yourself up, it is so hard to differentiate ear aches and teething! Hope he's better soon!
